The energetic focal point to the room, the sushi counter, is a pristine white quartz countertop with a slate veneer facing evocative of a sea cave wall.
A curving, dark plaster ceiling of deepest marine blue is made more dramatic by long slots that allow shafts of light to cut through.
Mural inspired by the ancient “suminigashi” Japanese marbling technique .
The entry path is shrouded by a slatted plaster façade creating a “tunnel” which offers privacy from the street.
